Roaster Note
This coffee’s strength is its creamy nutty flavor, smooth and comforting from the first sip. We’ve taken the roast slightly deeper to bring out a soft cocoa note, giving it that nutty–cocoa profile most people love. Its gentle orange note adds a touch of brightness that turns into a caramel-like sweetness, especially when paired with milk. Easy to enjoy every day, it’s a cup that feels both familiar and satisfying.
Bean Info
La Abejilla ("The Little Bee") coffee comes from the San Vito region in southern Costa Rica, near the border with Panama. Surrounded by the Coto Brus mountain range, the area enjoys a large diurnal temperature range and abundant rainfall, with distinct wet and dry seasons. These climate conditions are ideal for healthy coffee tree growth and the development of high-quality coffee beans.
La Abejilla coffee is the result of collaboration among many smallholder farmers in the region. Local cooperatives provide these farmers with technical support and marketing channels, helping them secure fair prices and stable income in the international market. The farmers use sustainable and organic farming practices, avoiding chemical pesticides and fertilizers to protect both the environment and soil health.
These efforts result in a coffee with bright acidity, vibrant fruitiness, and a sweet, well-rounded flavor profile.
